Thanks for the Memories!

Dear Friends,

It is hard to believe that 15 years have flown by in what seems to me to be only five. What a fabulous run we have had!  Having never been in the restaurant business before (and having been told by several restaurant people that it would be my worst nightmare!), I wasn’t prepared for what would turn out to be the best time of my life!

I can honestly say there hasn’t been a day that I’ve gotten ready to go to “work” that I haven’t been excited to get here. Every day has been a joy.  Of course, just walking into the building will put a smile on your face. One can never get tired of the cheerful colors, the joyful paintings and the colorful flowers.

And the staff!  How lucky, how grateful, how fortunate we have been to have such an outstanding crew – really our second family – that have been so instrumental in maintaining consistency in the kitchen and in the dining room for all these years.  The front of the house staff can turn the dining room around from a party of 175 with specialized seating back to our a la carte set-up in 30-40 minutes without a murmur. The back of the house staff can do a full house dinner (with all those special requests!) and simultaneously turn out a four course private dinner party for 60 without turning a hair. To say that I am proud of my “family” here is an understatement. I hope they know how important they are to me.

And what would Patsel’s be without you, our guests? You have brought life and laughter to this beautiful place. We’ve shared your birthdays and anniversaries, your bridal showers and baby showers, your rehearsal dinners and weddings, and your funerals and unveilings. But most of all, we’ve shared friendship and love. John and I have made so many friends we never would have met if it hadn’t been for Patsel’s. All of you lovely people have brought so much joy to our lives and created lasting memories. We will carry you in our hearts forever.

Thank you for allowing us to entertain you all these years. It has been an honor.
